Account

To use Autheona, you need an account. Your account manages authentication, projects, billing, and settings.

Creating an Account

Sign Up Process

  1. Go to the sign up page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click continue

When you submit your email, Autheona uses its own API to validate your email address. If the email passes validation, you proceed to the next step.

  1. Enter your information:
    • Name - How we identify you in the system and emails
    • Password - Create a secure password
    • Confirm Password - Re-enter your password
  2. Accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy
  3. Click create account

If everything is correct:

  • Your account is created immediately
  • You are automatically signed in
  • You are redirected to the onboarding flow

If there is an error, you will be notified immediately in the sign up form.

Signing In

  1. Go to the sign in page at app.autheona.com
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Enter your password
  4. Click sign in

If both credentials are correct, you will be signed in to the system.

Magic Sign In Link

Instead of a traditional password reset, Autheona provides a magic sign in link feature.

How It Works:

  1. Go to the magic sign in page
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Click send magic link

If we find an account with that email, we send a magic sign in email. For privacy reasons, we do not show an error if the account does not exist.

Using the Magic Link:

  • Click the link in the email
  • You are automatically signed in
  • The link expires in 15 minutes
  • The link can only be used once
  • Do not share the link with anyone

If you forgot your password, you can update it after signing in through account settings.

Account Settings

Access account settings by clicking the account menu in the top navigation bar, then selecting Settings.

Settings open in a modal with four sections:

Overview Section

Update your account name:

  • Type your new name
  • Changes are saved automatically
  • We use your name in emails and system communications

Security Section

Update your email address or password.

Changing Email Address:

  1. Click the email update option
  2. A modal opens
  3. Enter your new email address
  4. Click continue
  5. We send a verification link to the new email address
  6. Click the link in the email to confirm
  7. Your email address is updated

After updating:

  • You remain signed in
  • Future sign ins require the new email address
  • Your password remains the same

Changing Password:

  1. Click the password update option
  2. A modal opens
  3. Enter your new password
  4. Enter the confirmation password
  5. Click update

After updating:

  • You remain signed in
  • Future sign ins require the new password
  • If you forget the password, use the magic sign in link

Subscription Section

Manage your subscription through Polar integration.

Autheona uses Polar for all subscription management.

If You Are on Free Trial:

  1. Click the View Plans button
  2. You are redirected to Polar's custom checkout page
  3. Complete the checkout process
  4. Refresh the Autheona page to see updated subscription status

All plans are monthly. Yearly subscriptions are not currently available.

If Payment Went Through But You Do Not Have Access:

Contact us immediately at hello@autheona.com. We will investigate and respond as soon as possible.

After Subscribing:

You get access to Polar's Customer Portal through the subscription page. The Customer Portal lets you:

  • Upgrade or downgrade plans
  • Cancel subscription
  • Update billing address
  • Change payment methods
  • View invoices

All subscription management happens in Polar's Customer Portal, not in the Autheona platform.

High Risk Section

Delete your account if needed.

Before Deleting:

You must cancel any active subscriptions. We do not allow account deletion with active subscriptions.

Deletion Process:

  1. Click the account delete button
  2. A modal appears with instructions
  3. Enter the confirmation text (shown in the modal instructions)
  4. Click delete

What Happens After Deletion:

  • Your account is soft deleted immediately
  • All projects and data are retained for 30 days
  • Contact us within 30 days to recover the account
  • After 30 days, everything is permanently deleted:
    • Account
    • All projects
    • All data
    • All analytics

Important:

  • After permanent deletion, you cannot use the same email address to create a new account
  • Each email address can only be used once ever in Autheona
  • Permanent deletions cannot be recovered

If you delete your account accidentally, contact us immediately at hello@autheona.com within 30 days.
